Psychological support for Performers
Performers in Mind is owned and operated by performance psychologist Natalie Kyan, to support, empower, and help build the skills performers need to thrive — in training, in work, and in life.
Whether you’re developing your craft, navigating an elite career, or moving through life and career transitions, we support individuals, teams, and groups at every stage of the performance journey — and beyond.
If you are an athlete, performing artist, creative, high achiever, or business leader - we are here to help!
Natalie Kyan is a Psychologist who works with individuals and groups to maximise wellbeing, performance and mental health. She also provides support regarding sport and performance enhancement. Natalie has a particular interest in personal effectiveness for performers - whether they are athletes, performing artists or those in the corporate sector. She is passionate about helping people achieve their potential and build resilience, whilst at the same time maintaining mental health and wellbeing.
Natalie has been a Consultant Psychologist at The Australian National Academy of Music for over 10 years. She has previously worked as a Psychologist at Maribyrnong Sports Academy, Richmond AFLW and the Australian Ballet School. Working in private practice since 2014, Natalie works individually with a wide variety of performing and non-performing clients. She has also consulted with various sporting and performing arts organisations across Australia to provide holistic support to athletes, dancers and musicians.
At previous stages in her life, Natalie has also been an amateur theatre performer, national level swimmer, and competitive Latin dancer. She is now a mum to two delightful humans, and enjoys sharing good food with good company and taking time to slow down in nature.
